Live As

Live As (Minimally Invasive Surgery Community for Liver & Pancreas) was established by Dr. Edoardo Rosso and Dr. Alessandro Ferrero (Chief of General and Oncological Surgery, Mauriziano Hospital, Torino).

It is the first digital platform dedicated to minimally invasive liver and pancreatic surgery, intended to improve knowledge of the latest generation of minimally invasive techniques, and provide online surgical training.
Minimally invasive surgery is, when possible, the best choice: it reduces the risk associated with surgery and facilitates recovery times in patients of all ages.

However, the use of this approach is around 15% and it is performed in very few facilities given that it requires continuous training that is not easy to implement. 
With the aim of meeting this need, Live As was established: a community of surgeons interested in minimally invasive approaches for the hepato-biliopancreatic segment, who want to share their experience and promote scientific research. Live As, developed in English, is divided into two areas: one for the pancreas and one for the liver. Thanks to the platform's functions it is possible to share high definition videos, reports and results of the most important clinical studies and scientific conferences, as well as exchange opinions and points of view in real time.
